She is the mother of a teen girl who Wanted Alive helped choose life for her baby. When we first met her family, they were facing severe hardship and rejection after her daughter’s pregnancy. Her husband abandoned them, leaving her alone with several children to care for. The local Wanted Alive team learned of their situation and stepped in to help the entire family.
As we supported her daughter, this mother began attending Wanted Alive meetings and found comfort and encouragement in the community. Yet she carried a heavy burden she had not shared with anyone. In her struggle to provide for her children after being left alone, she faced deep shame and fear. During that time, she discovered she was expecting another child—a pregnancy she initially tried to hide because of the pain and uncertainty surrounding her circumstances.
When the stress became too great, she went into early labor. Through compassionate counseling and support from Wanted Alive, she found peace and courage to embrace her baby with love. Her daughter was born early but healthy, and both mother and child were able to go home together.
