Building Better Futures
Ending the poverty cycle that leads to abortion-mindedness and abandonment.
What We Do
Wanted Alive Kenya walks with vulnerable children, youth, and families to break cycles of poverty, crisis, and generational harm. We provide safe environments, practical support, and hope‑centered programs that strengthen dignity and open real pathways to a thriving future. Our work is rooted in compassion, accountability, and the belief that every life is wanted, valued, and capable of flourishing.
-
Many families face moments of crisis that threaten their safety, stability, and wellbeing. We step in with practical, compassionate support that helps restore dignity and prevent long‑term harm.
Our support includes:
Temporary safe housing for families in urgent need
Food, clothing, and essential household items
Crisis response and follow‑up care
Guidance that helps families rebuild stability and hope.
Skills‑training programs that equip adults to achieve long‑term self‑sufficiency
-
Education is one of the strongest tools for breaking generational poverty. We help children stay in school, succeed academically, and build confidence for their future.
We provide:
School fees and uniform support for vulnerable students
Tutoring and mentorship
Life‑skills and values‑based education
Encouragement and accountability for long‑term success
-
Young people deserve safe guidance, strong role models, and the tools to make healthy decisions. Our mentorship programs equip youth to avoid high‑risk behaviors and pursue meaningful goals.
Our curriculum focuses on:
Identity, purpose, and self‑worth
Healthy relationships and boundaries
Abstinence‑based risk avoidance
Goal‑setting and future planning
Trauma‑informed emotional resilience
-
Everything we do is guided by a simple conviction: Every child deserves safety. Every youth deserves opportunity. Every family deserves dignity.
We walk with communities not as rescuers, but as partners — building trust, strengthening resilience, and creating pathways to a future where every life can flourish.
And as we look ahead, our long‑term vision is to purchase land where a sustainable, hope‑centered community can grow. This land will become a place where families in crisis can find stability, where children can learn in a values‑based school built on dignity and belonging, and where gardens, skills‑training, and community programs can create lasting independence. It will be a home for healing, learning, and opportunity — a place designed for generations to flourish.

Let’s Work TogetherCurrent needs in Kenya:
We are renting an office/training site conveniently located in the informal settlement we serve in. This office and training site places us directly inside the community we serve, where families face the greatest challenges and the fewest resources. Having a permanent, safe space allows us to offer mentorship, crisis support, life‑skills training, and youth programs every single day. Your support makes it possible for us to show up consistently, build trust, and create lasting change right where it’s needed most. Sponsor a family:
Many families are still waiting for sponsors. Until we have enough support to train them and help launch their business plans, they continue to rely on us for monthly food and rent. There are more families we have yet to list that need sponsors. Tap the button below to learn more about the families we currently have listed and their needs and choose a family that has not yet been sponsored.
